What we teach

Programs for every driver

Whichever stage you are at, there is a program built around you. Here is what each one covers.

Teen Driver Education

The full recognized new-driver course, combining class-work with in-car lessons. It builds safe habits from day one and gets the learner period reduced so your teen can test sooner.

Adult In-Car Lessons

Private one-on-one sessions that move at your own pace. They are a great fit for newcomers to Canada adapting to local roads and rules, and for anyone returning to driving.

Program for Seniors

Supportive refresher lessons that help experienced drivers rebuild confidence behind the wheel. We go at a comfortable pace so you can keep your independence on the road.

Winter Driving

Hands-on coaching for snow, ice and low-visibility conditions. These skills are built for Nova Scotia winters so you stay calm and in control when the roads turn.

Defensive Driving

An accident-prevention course that teaches safer habits behind the wheel. It can also bring possible insurance and demerit benefits, depending on your situation.

Stick Shift Lessons

Learn manual transmission properly, from clutch control to smooth shifting and confident hill starts. We cover the fundamentals until they feel like second nature.

Getting your licence in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia uses a Graduated Driver Licensing system that brings you along in stages. Here is the simple version, and how we help at each step.

  • Stage 1: Learner's Licence (Class 7). Pass the vision, sign and knowledge tests, then build hours with supervised driving.
  • Finish a recognized driver-education course. Doing so lets you take your road test after 9 months instead of 12.
  • Stage 2: Newly Licensed (Class 5N). Pass the road test to move up, and we can provide our vehicle for the test.
  • We know the local test routes. Practice on the same Halifax roads you will be tested on, with a warm-up before your test.
